The Basic Visual Constructs

Developmental Art Therapy

The Creative Loop Process

Engaging in one’s creative expressive process.

A way to explore and discover any one’s natural learning mode, especially useful when someone is stuck, personally or professionally, or in a challenging life transition where one needs to access the inherent curative value of engaging in one’s creative expressive process.

The Creatas Brain Map

A map for the pre-verbal arts therapies.

Introduced in 1976 as the CONED:
The Continuum Of Neurological & Evolutionary Development

The 1976 CONED diagram evolved in the 2000’s as illustrated with a rainbow progression, from the early evolutionary brain neuro-structures demonstrating that the arts are primary to cognition.
This diagram is taught from coast to coast in art therapy programs and is now ready for wider distribution.
This has stood the tests of time and has never been refuted.

The Rainbow Phenomenon Workbook

The Workbook is an update of the
Rainbow Booklet (Physiology of Color Usage in Self-Expressive art.)

The rainbow symbol, as an ancient symbol from Nature, is a guiding archetype to help us through the Big Shift that many are consciously experiencing during these times of difficult transition into a sustainable future.

First taught in 1973.   When drawn for personal growth and self-discovery, physical dilemmas can be identified when the somatic continuum is visible and identified.

The drawing of a “personal signature rainbow” was first inspired in 1974 from a dream of the rainbow being cast across the human body. An awareness of the Rainbow Phenomenon is now widely available for the color progression can be from red at the base of the spine, then rising up the chakra and energy centers in the human body.

The LARProcess

Life Arts Review Process

The "Life Arts Review Process", is for
tapping into the archetype of the line for the passage of time.

This self-expressive timeline gives anyone, and especially art therapy graduate students, a way to do a pictorial life review to identify the highs and lows of one’s life to identify strengths and weakness to more consciously plan a creative life design.

The WhATS?

Do you have more to say and show? You can do it in this section. Add pictures and a short description to show visitors more of whatever it is you want.

The WhATS?
The Wholistic Art Therapy Drawing Series, based on the BEMSE Guide List:
A drawing series beginning with a Body Image self-drawing, then, then drawing each for
- Emotions
- Mentality
- Spiritual and
- an Environmental Mandala drawing.

The "WhATS?" ends with a final Integrative Mandala Self- Drawing, to facilitate defining the work to be done in future art therapy sessions.

Based on the observation that for any deep change, and necessary healing to take place, a shift in self-views is necessary.

Our multi-dimensional self-views are often unconscious imagery that can be tapped by creating a mandala as self-expressive art prompts, for self-study and goal setting.

Hidden Creek Preserve

Color Therapist Retreat Center

From a culmination of Roberta Shoemaker-Beal Eco-Art therapist work.

A place where certain art therapists have chosen to create a Retreat Center somewhere in a supportive natural setting such as an Art Barn building for a supportive Earth-aware community to come together that strives to create a wellness center for a life worth-living.
